Our Middle School is comprised of grades 5-8 and offers a departmentalized approach to academics. The Middle School Math Teacher is a full-time position, teaching three separate sections of math (grades 6, 7 and 8). In addition, the person will serve as an advisor to a group of approximately 6-8 middle school students and participate in the broader life of the school including offering elective courses, conducting parent/teacher conferences, chaperoning field trips and other student life activities, and more. We seek a candidate with an understanding of the Singapore Math curriculum, pre-algebra, algebra and geometry. The successful candidate will have a proven record of collaborative teamwork together with an understanding of interpersonal relations, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a healthy sense of humor. A minimum of three to five years of teaching experience in independent schools and a graduate degree in a related field are preferred. Spanish language ability is a plus.
