The Department of Curriculum, Supervision, and Educational Leadership has a long tradition of preparing teachers and school administrators. Due to program growth and faculty retirements, we are searching to fill up to 4 faculty positions. Applicants seeking dual-career opportunities are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will teach primarily undergraduate courses in Education Foundations in at least 3 of the following areas: (introduction to education, instructional methods, classroom management, assessment, multicultural education, educational technology, and educational law). Additional responsibilities include academic advising, scholarly activity, participating in departmental program development and assessment, and professional service, including committee work. Some graduate-level teaching may be included.
Earned doctorate in Educational Foundations or a related field. (A.B.D. candidates will be considered)
Teaching experience at the PK-12 level
Successful Post-secondary teaching experience
Research, teaching, service or other experience that has prepared the candidate to contribute to CWU’s commitment to the engagement and inclusion of culturally diverse students.
Evidence of teaching excellence at the post-secondary level, including record of community/public engagement, and evidence of a scholarly research agenda.
Two years teaching or other work experience with a strong commitment to preparing culturally proficient school teachers.
