The Seven Hills School seeks an Upper School History teacher. The position involves teaching five sections of history with an average class size of 16. We are particularly interested in candidates with a background and interest in teaching world history and in designing a non-western history elective.
Candidates must have, at minimum, an undergraduate degree in the field and experience teaching high school students. They should be knowledgeable about all aspect of History instruction, including use of instructional technology, and should be eager to work both with exceptionally able and motivated students and with students who are less academically-independent. Candidates should work well with colleagues, have strong organizational skills and habits, and possess a sense of humor and of creativity. In addition to teaching, this position includes normal faculty duties such as advising students, supervising study areas, chaperoning occasional activities, and contributing to another school activity through coaching or through moderating a club.
