Middlesex School seeks a part-time teacher of Chinese to join the department starting in the 2020-2021 academic year. Middlesex is a coeducational, college-preparatory, boarding secondary school of 400 students located in Concord, Massachusetts. We seek seasoned candidates to teach one or two sections of Mandarin Chinese including contemporary linguistic and cultural contexts. The Middlesex Chinese program has a robust curriculum that promotes listening, speaking, reading, writing, and typing practice to cultivate students’ communication skills. A familiarity with text, web and language lab tools that support the study of Chinese is desired. Middlesex School courses meet five times a week each for 40 minutes.
