McDonogh School is seeking an energetic, intellectual, and caring individual to teach Upper School French. The optimal candidate is a teacher-coach capable of teaching introductory-level through Post-AP French-language learners, and is also able to teach Spanish on an as-needed basis.
Inspiring, engaging, and encouraging students in the study of French, creating a dynamic classroom with high expectations for both French language and culture
Willing to guide students in active and experiential language and cultural learning, including but not limited to, cooking, music and art
Exhibiting a strong desire for continuing professional growth as a World Language educator
Demonstrating creativity and authentic cultural experiences in unit and daily planning
Focusing on language proficiency and oral communication in all lessons
Teaching diverse learners through varied instructional strategies and approaches

Degree in French Language and/or Education and speak French fluently .
Master’s Degree (preferred, but not required).
Ability to teach other languages (Chinese/Latin/Spanish) desirable, with a priority for Spanish.
Experience living, working, or studying in French-speaking Africa or the Carribean preferred.
