The Science Department seeks an energetic, outgoing professional to join our Upper School team in August 2020. Along with teaching AP Environmental Science, the candidate must have the ability to teach one or more of the following: upper-level Mathematics; Computer Science, engineering and/or maker arts while employing a variety of instructional strategies to grasp the attention of many learning styles. The candidate must have a joyful growth mindset, possess strong classroom management skills, excitement for teaching and the ability to relay that enthusiasm to students. In addition, the candidate must be able to collaborate with a diverse group of student learners through a variety of innovative and progressive pedagogical methods including project-based assessments that will develop and grow each student to his or her highest potential. Ideal candidates will also need knowledge of and experience using technology to support student growth. Developing a rapport with students and colleagues to promote a positive, collaborative learning environment is essential.
Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science or Mathematics Education degree; A Masters's degree in a related field with 3-5 years experience is preferred.
