Buffalo Seminary is an independent day and boarding high school for college-bound girls. Founded in 1851, SEM is located in the historic Elmwood Village neighborhood of Buffalo, New York and is registered on the National Register of Historic Places. Our five student and faculty residences are renovated historic homes adjacent to our school building. At SEM, girls from diverse backgrounds – united in their ambition for a superb and challenging education – can find a comprehensive program that prepares them well for both college and lifelong endeavors.
SEM is seeking a passionate, charismatic and energetic teacher to strengthen a small but growing CS program. Applicant must be available to begin in July 2020.
Teach computer science classes including AP Computer Science A and AP Computer Science Principles. Other courses may include Game Design, Virtual Reality Project, Robotics, Engineering, CAD, and/or other related courses.
Be an ambassador for Computer Science within the SEM community.
Connect SEM coders with the greater coding community through community outreach and local/regional coding activities and challenges.
Help coding students envision their future plans for further study, summer opportunities and college options in the computer science field.
Technology support and other duties as assigned.
