Berkeley Preparatory School is seeking to fill a position in the Upper Division Science Department for the 2020-2021 school year. The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge of introductory Biology and Life Science, and have a demonstrated success at delivering material at the honors level. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in education technology (rapid prototyping, Arduino programming, computer programming, robotics, etc).Sponsorship of and participation in extra-curricular science-themed clubs is expected.
Candidates must show a strong willingness to receive feedback regularly, grow professionally, significantly contribute to the life of the school, and will be eager to work in a culturally and ethnically diverse environment.
Berkeley Preparatory School is proud to call the Gries Center for Arts and Sciences home for all Upper Division science classes. This state-of-the-art facility features nine fully-equipped laboratory classrooms including two dedicated chemistry labs, a microbiology suite, a robotics laboratory, two separate long term project areas, three prep rooms, and a 3,000 square foot design technology space.
Compensation and Benefits:
The appointment is a full-time position with full benefits. The compensation package will be very competitive nationally and commensurate with experience, degree attainment and the national independent school and college markets.
