The Santa Clara County Office of Education is looking for a passionate and innovative Teacher – Deaf and Hard of Hearing to teach hearing-impaired students a curriculum geared to each student’s level using designated communication systems. This position will provide various services, as well as instruction in the educational objectives of each student’s current Individual Education Plan. The position may include services provided at one site or multiple sites, in an itinerant model.
Required Minimum Training, Education, And Licensing:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university;
A valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential authorizing Deaf & Hard of Hearing or Communication Handicapped; or
Other CA Special Education Credential authorizing the teaching of hearing-impaired students
Must have an English Learner Authorization

Working collaboratively with school and community partners, the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) is a regional service agency that provides instructional, business, and technology services to the 31 school districts of Santa Clara County. The County Office of Education directly serves students through special education programs, alternative schools, Head Start and State Preschool programs, migrant education, and Opportunity Youth Academy. The SCCOE also provides academic and fiscal oversight and monitoring to districts in addition to the 23 Santa Clara County Board of Education authorized charter schools.
