The Spence School seeks a dynamic, passionate, growth-oriented K-4 teacher to join our innovative and highly collaborative Lower School. This position represents an exciting opportunity to join a school engaged in the ongoing refinement of a nurturing and rigorous approach to teaching and learning whose foundation is the abiding belief that all children are curious and able learners.
Teach all disciplines related to the homeroom curriculum
Collaborate in teaching teams to design curriculum, assessments, and teaching methods
For K-2 positions, mentor and partner with an associate teacher
Participate in department and division-wide initiatives about issues of equity, pedagogy, curriculum and citizenship
Engage with parents about individual children and grade wide curriculum
