The Rashi School seeks a Middle School Social Studies Teacher to cover a parental leave from approximately April 1, 2020 to May 28, 2020.
Plan and lead instruction for 2 sections of 8th grade Social Studies which meets 3 periods each per week.
Provide teaching assistance to 2 sections of 7th grade Language Arts classes 2 periods per week.
Provide teaching assistance to 2 sections of 6th grade Language Arts classes 2 periods per week.
Participate in weekly planning and grade level meetings with the Division Director and appropriate colleagues.
Share duties (recess, lunch, etc.) set by Educational Leadership.
Participate in Minyan, Kabbalat Shabbat, and other holiday celebrations.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, at least 3 years of teaching experience, and a passion for working with middle school students. This is a full-time (7:45 am-3:15 pm M-F) position with a rate of $160/day.
