Overview: Private, Catholic School in Naples seeks a full-time Science teacher for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year and 2020-21 school year.

Prepare weekly lesson plans and have emergency plans on file in the school office, submit plans to the principal/assistant principal as requested
Supervise students: during class time, during lunch time (when necessary), during dismissal, during student arrival from 7:30 am – 8:00 am, during mass, during assemblies, and school programs, during recess, at car line, and as needed by the Principal
Attend meetings, conferences, and required school events: Home and School meetings as requested by the Pastor/Principal, faculty meetings, workshops and in-service days, masses, parent conferences as requested and necessary
Coordinate instruction with other staff members as required to integrate and reinforce learning
Maintain organization in the classroom: inventory student and teacher text, keep updated bulletin boards, have a set of classroom rules and procedures for students to follow, handle all material and equipment properly, submit reorder forms such as requested by the Principal
Administer yearly standardized tests
Inform principal of schedule changes such as field trips, practice for mass, class visitors, etc.
Attend all church services with class and give example of proper Christian worship; plan school liturgy/paraliturgy.
Implement policies/programs as mandated by the Pastor/Principal
Adhere to the guidelines for professional behavior as outlined in the faculty handbook and NCEA and Diocesan Code of Ethics
Maintain and update personnel file with the Principal and Assistant Principal
Adhere to the Diocesan contractual agreement and faculty handbook
Maintain confidentiality about school matters and instructed by the Principal/Pastor/Diocese
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Florida certified or be eligible for FL temporary within 6 months of employment
Previous teaching experience preferred
• Must be able to stand, sit, squat and climb • Must be able to lift at least 20 lb
Hours and Calendar:
Teacher Workday: 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
School Year: Immediately
Teacher workdays and school holidays as determined by Principal/Pastor/Diocese.
