Cheshire Academy seeks a full-time Spanish teacher for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Candidates should have Native or native-like fluency in Spanish with the ability to teach all levels of Spanish.
Teachers who have a dynamic presence in the classroom, an innovative and open approach to curriculum design, a collaborative approach to teaching, and who incorporate new technologies are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must embrace participation in the entire boarding school experience.
Other responsibilities include:
Coaching and/or leading extra-curricular activities;
Weekend team responsibilities;
Residential/dormitory duties (if housing is provided);
Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain an CT “A” endorsement for purposes of transporting students.
School provided housing is not guaranteed for the academic year of 2020-2021.
Salary and benefits are competitive. Candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check. School housing is not guaranteed. Three or more years’ teaching experience and a master’s degree are desired. International Baccalaureate teaching experience is also preferred. Ability to teach both Spanish and French is a definite plus. Candidates with instructional coaching and/or department chair experience is preferred.
