Cheshire Academy seeks a full-time Science teacher for the upcoming 2020-21 academic year.
The successful candidate will be able to provide quality instruction in various levels and disciplines of science. Ability to teach a combination of at least two or more sciences (biology, environmental science, and chemistry) is preferred. Candidates who have a dynamic presence in the classroom, an innovative and open approach to curriculum design, a collaborative approach to teaching, and who incorporate new technologies are strongly encouraged to apply.
Other responsibilities include:
Coaching and/or leading extra-curricular activities;
Weekend team responsibilities;
Residential/dormitory duties (if housing is provided.)
Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain an CT “A” endorsement for purposes of transporting students.
School provided housing is not guaranteed for the academic year of 2020-2021.

Minimally, this candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in either biology or chemistry. A Master’s degree, teaching credentials, and/or relevant teaching experience are preferred.
Interest in or experience with IB science is a plus. Candidates with instructional coaching and/or leadership experience is a plus. Candidates must embrace participation in the entire boarding school experience.
