The Peck School, a coed, K-8, independent school in Morristown, NJ, seeks a Middle School Mathematics Teacher for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record creating engaging, collaborative, student-centered lessons, as well as a steadfast commitment to cultivating a love of mathematics in all students. With primary responsibilities in grades seven and eight, this position requires expertise teaching Algebra I and Geometry with the aim of preparing students to thrive in secondary school. Familiarity with a Problem-Based approach to mathematics is strongly preferred. In addition to teaching, this position includes opportunities to serve as a coach and advisor.
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of teaching experience, exceptional communication skills (both oral and written), proficiency with technology, and a desire to work in a highly collaborative environment. A degree or background in mathematics is required. Candidates must have a commitment to the educational goals, mission, and objectives of The Peck School.
