Justin-Siena is seeking a full-time high school Science teacher for the 2020-2021 school year.
The essential responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Teaching five sections of science, primarily in chemistry and physics;
Collaborating with colleagues to explore, develop and deliver our curriculum:
Serving on teams to develop whole-school initiatives;
Advising a small group of students through our Advisory Program;
Engaging in annual meaningful student life or athletic programming;
Performing weekend, evening, or overnight duties as assigned.

Candidates must possess demonstrated competence in the content area, as well as research-based best pedagogical practices. An advanced degree in the content area is preferred. Preference will be given to those with experience in Lasallian or Catholic high schools. Preference will also be given to those with the ability to teach all science courses at the AP®, honors, and college prep levels, who have a keen interest in incorporating appropriate innovative technologies, and who possess a current California Teaching Credential. We seek candidates with an active interest in developing courses with substantive interdisciplinary, experiential, and service components. We seek candidates with track records of positive, professional collaboration in team settings and with the desire and capacity to grow as an instructional leader. An understanding of the developmental needs of adolescents is necessary; therefore, we seek a healthy combination of positivity, flexibility, energy, creativity, and a sense of humor. We seek demonstrated experience working in a diverse, inclusive community and strong cross-cultural competency skills.
Justin-Siena is a Lasallian Catholic college preparatory high school sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers. About Justin-Siena High School
Justin-Siena is a co-educational independent Catholic High School sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers. We serve more than 550 students from the Napa Valley as well as the neighboring Solano County and Sonoma Valley. We have a strong commitment to serve those who could not otherwise afford a quality Catholic secondary school experience with one third of our student body receiving tuition assistance. The school operates a small on-campus boarding program for both domestic and international students as well as an international host family program.
