The White Mountain School seeks a part-time music teacher to begin duties on August 17, 2020. We believe this is an incredibly exciting time to be working at The White Mountain School: we take seriously the idea that education must be driven by student inquiry. Learning is more durable, transferable and meaningful when it is motivated by student curiosity and anchored in topics that are relevant-- to them and the world. We believe our students are capable of doing great things, and because of that, our teachers encourage students to ask meaningful, nontrivial questions and then make both time and space for students to answer their own questions as well as communicate their findings. As a teacher, this is an exciting place to live, to work, and to learn.

The ideal candidate will:
Have a college degree in music or a related field,
Be able to teach a range of music offerings, ideally including: digital recording, music theory, chorus and a contemporary band.
Have a sense of humor and a high degree of flexibility,

Set among the beautiful mountains of northern New Hampshire, The White Mountain School is a college preparatory boarding and day school of 135 students in grades 9-12. Since our founding in 1886, we have remained true to the original focus of New England boarding schools: the development of mind, body and spirit.
