Saint James School is looking for a full-time science teacher (Biology, Chemistry) for the 2020-21 school year. We are looking for a teacher who embraces a residential school, and this particular position would require living in an apartment attached to a dormitory. Faculty at Saint James also participate in afternoon activities, which includes (but is not limited to) coaching one of our sports. Ultimately, the successful candidate will embrace all that it means to be part of the busy life that makes up a boarding school community.
Living in a dormitory
Serving as an advisor to 5-7 students
Dormitory duty one night per week and ten weekends per year
Lead or assist an afternoon activity/sport for two of three seasons
Attend all meetings as required
Attend all school functions as required: daily chapel, class meeting, special events, etc.
Complete teacher comments and advisor comments
Seek out opportunities for professional development
Other duties as assigned
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
