Confidence, character, and a love for learning grow day by day in Ensworth’s Middle School, which consists of grades six through eight. In close partnership with families, teachers work to understand, guide, challenge, and nurture their students as the students learn to think creatively and work cooperatively and independently. Our Middle School English program is skills-based and the ideal candidate will have experience helping students read critically, analyze text, and participate in discussions about literature. Teachers guide students as they practice their expository, descriptive, persuasive and narrative writing skills, using literature as mentor texts. The curriculum consists of four distinct, yet closely related components: reading, writing, vocabulary and as well as grammar, usage, mechanics.
