Country Day World School is now accepting applications for a new math teacher position on the Middle School faculty. Country Day World School is a cutting-edge school in Pinellas County, Florida that utilizes extensive technology and is developing a world class STEM program. The school is part of a PK through 8th grade leaning community on 15 acres of property and connected with the renowned Country Day Montessori School for ages one through 3rd grade.
This full-time position will primarily be teaching Algebra and Geometry to students ranging from grade level to highly gifted. The position will also involve participating in STEM project work, enrichments with other faculty and mentoring students.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for the right candidate to be part of a world class model school. Qualified candidates must have several years experience teaching Math at the High School or advance Middle School level. Candidates should be able to differentiate their approach to meet the needs of the students. Candidates must be able to individually engage students in rigorous work and be able to motivate them to achieve their highest potential. Candidates will need to be confident supporting self-directed learning and the use of technology. Candidates should also be confident in working collaboratively on STEM projects and facilitating the corresponding project-based learning. Candidates should possess strong written and spoken communication skills. Graduate degrees are strongly preferred, but Florida certification is not a requirement.
