The Harley School seeks a full-time Upper School mathematics teacher to start in September of 2020. Primary responsibility is for teaching five sections of mathematics to students in grades 9-12. Courses may include Precalculus; Functions, Statistics and Trigonometry (FST); Algebra; Computer Science; and Coding. Additional expectations include—but are not limited to—academic advising, chaperoning, extracurricular mentoring and supervision, and committee work.
The ideal candidate should:
Be proficient in the target discipline;
Possess an appropriate undergraduate degree (Master’s preferred);
Have high school teaching experience;
Be familiar with independent school culture;
Be eager to engage students in a meaningful, imaginative study of mathematics.
