We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated First Grade Head Teacher in our Lower School for the 2020-21 school year.
A First Grade Head Teacher provides general classroom instruction to approximately eighteen students and is an advisor to class families. Lower School Head Teachers are responsible for planning and implementing literacy, math, and social studies curriculum and for helping to create and sustain a safe, inclusive classroom community. One of the chief roles of a Head Teacher in the Lower School at Packer is mentoring a full-time Associate Teacher in the classroom.
Lower School Head Teachers should be eager to engage in ongoing collaboration with colleagues on the grade level team, specialist area teachers, and administration. An ideal candidate must demonstrate a warm and inviting personality and have excellent interpersonal skills.

A Master’s Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education is required and previous head teaching experience is highly preferred.
