Friends Academy, a Quaker Independent Day School, PS-12th grade is seeking a full-time Middle School math teacher for the school year 2020-2021. The successful candidate will teach four sections of middle school math, with significant cross-curricular collaboration expected with Science department colleagues. As a full-time faculty position, this role includes serving as an advisor for approximately ten students and supporting a co-curricular activity by coaching a sport or advising a significant school activity. All faculty members are expected to support activities and events that contribute to the life of the school and to attend departmental, divisional and all-school staff meetings.

Qualifications: A successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in math, math education, or similar discipline. A Graduate Degree is preferred. We will consider candidates who have at least three years of teaching experience. To be successful, experience teaching Algebra 1 and Pre-Algebra is desired, and experience facilitating activities such as the AMC 8 math exam and Mathcounts is preferred.
