PHOENIX COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL seeks a dynamic, innovative, child-centered, and experienced Early Childhood and Lower School educational leader to guide the Lower School beginning July 2020. The next Head of Lower School will serve as a member of the administrative team, report directly to the Head of School, and work closely with the other Division Heads and the Director of Curriculum and Instruction to ensure a strong and cohesive Lower School program. Initiatives and opportunities ahead include enhancing the collaboration between the Lower and Middle School and leading the Lower School faculty through a review of the math and language arts curricula.
PCDS’s next Head of Lower School will possess an unmistakable passion for Lower School education and an unwavering commitment to educating the whole child in a joyful environment. They will be able to demonstrate strong and successful Early Childhood and/or Lower School leadership as well as teaching experience, along with being well versed with the developmental needs of children.
