St. Andrew’s School, located in Barrington Rhode Island, is seeking a full-time special education teacher for grades 6 - 12. Teaching responsibilities include classes designed to support academics and executive functioning, literacy to support the development of reading and written expression, and building and using an advising curriculum. Teaching experience grades 6 and above or primarily high school is preferred. Special education licensure is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with advocacy for students with learning differences, the production of IEPs, and an understanding of how diverse learning profiles impact learning. Candidates should be skilled and interested in co-teaching and collaboration. Additional requirements include participation in afternoon student life activities and weekend boarding program duties.
