Our High School Science program is seeking qualified Biology candidates. Qualified candidates should be experienced in teaching one or more of the following subjects:
Biology, AP Biology, Molecular Biology, Anatomy/ Physiology, Chemistry
Note: Regents deliberately avoids narrow specialization among faculty; a broader knowledge base is preferred, and special consideration will be given to candidates with the ability to teach a broad range of courses. Modeling a love of learning, all faculty at Regents commit to expanding their expertise beyond their formal training, upholding and teaching excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Qualified candidates will have at least a bachelor’s degree in Biological Science and or an equivalent course of study in a related field. At least three years of relevant classroom experience is preferred, and all faculty are expected to demonstrate Christian maturity and a commitment to deepening the spiritual life of their students. Teachers should also demonstrate a desire and capacity to create a healthy classroom environment that fosters a love of learning in students. Successful candidates will have experience and expertise in the following:
Understanding pedagogical skills and objectives in a classical, Christian model.
Teaching through student discussions whenever possible in the science classroom, with lab demonstrations, student lab exercises, and laboratory experiments as normal components of classroom learning.
High self-understanding, interpersonal communication, self-organization, and motivation.
Strong interpersonal communication competency and the ability to build trust and rapport across all groups, including students, parents, division and school-wide faculty peers, and administrators.
