Randolph School is seeking an innovative lower school (K-4) teacher with a growth mindset. The primary responsibilities consist of teaching language arts, math, science, and social studies, along with social-emotional skills in a self-contained lower school class of approximately 18 students. The teacher in this position will work closely with grade level teams, media specialists, and library media center.

demonstrate a history of collaborative relationships with parents and colleagues
maintain a neat, well-organized classroom
effectively monitor and manage student learning with effective systems and routines in place
use of a variety of methods to teach and evaluate student progress
demonstrate effective written and oral communication
share duties and responsibilities with other members of the Lower School faculty
understand and appreciate independent school philosophy
have at least two years’ experience teaching elementary students
This teacher will participate collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote the general well-being of the Lower School and the school community in a manner that supports and promotes the mission of Randolph School. The teacher will be expected to be actively involved in the school’s full program which may involve sponsoring a club, chaperoning field trips, serving on faculty committees and attending school events. Interest in and ability to contribute to the athletics and extracurricular programs will be a positive asset.
Education Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution; M.A. in education; current Alabama teacher certification preferred
