Lake Highland Preparatory School is seeking a collaborative, innovative, and dynamic Entrepreneurship Teacher. The ideal candidate is a teacher-at-heart who is passionate about instructional innovation and entrepreneurship. This teaching assignment is a full-time position that will fulfill a variety of roles that support our school’s academic strategic commitment to elevating the student learning experience. As an Entrepreneurship Teacher, this person will have a rich opportunity to design a new curriculum as part of our whole-child approach to our innovation institute. This position will collaborate with teachers, students and community members to support innovative pedagogy and business integration to enhance learning outcomes. The Middle School Entrepreneurship Teacher reports directly to the Middle School Director.

Supports, models, and champions the integration of cooperative learning techniques (Kagan structures), project-based learning, and instructional innovation in all subjects.
Creates and teaches/co-teaches lessons and experiences related to information and digital literacy, digital citizenship, database usage, research skills, and other related subjects.
Seeks opportunities to promote teamwork and cross-curricular collaboration and possible co-teaching among faculty.
Markets and promotes the program among the surrounding business community and school community.

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or the international equivalent.
A valid teaching certification in business education or related subject area.
Three to five years of related experience in education, with 3 years in the classroom preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Ability to design a comprehensive middle school introduction to entrepreneurial education curriculum utilizing the most current trends in business education models.
Facilitates community partnerships to enhance the overall program, including but not limited to LHPA's Auxilium Project, local public and private corporations.
Experience in working with Project-Based Learning and Service-Based Education.
Ability to implement a vision, develop a succinct instructional plan, and establish a lasting program that is able to align with the instructional vision of the Upper School courses.
