Sun Valley Community School is seeking a dynamic Upper School Music teacher. This position includes teaching elective music classes, which may include songwriting and music technology, ensemble performance, instrumental including guitar and piano, vocal performance (co-taught with theater teacher) including musical theater. This is a full-time teaching position, with benefits, beginning August 17, 2020. Additional duties will include serving as a student advisor, participating in the school’s extensive Outdoor Program, and music directing and accompanying Upper and Middle School musicals and plays. Candidates with extensive piano training and strong sight-reading ability are preferred. For the right candidate, the position could also include Residential Life responsibilities and housing.
