The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, an independent K-12 boys’ school, seeks a full-time upper school science teacher with the ability to teach physics and engineering beginning August 2020. The successful applicant will teach up to five sections of science, serve as an academic advisor to a group of upper school students, and be actively involved in all facets of school life.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach Advanced Placement level classes, lead the Robotics team and STEAM-related programs. A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field and at least three years of experience teaching science are required. A masters' degree in a related field is preferred. Knowledge of best practices of physics instruction, instructional technologies and pedagogical techniques most beneficial to adolescent boys and an appreciation for the value of a single-sex education will be highly valued.
