Fayetteville Academy seeks a dynamic Math teacher to teach Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1, beginning in the 2020-2021 school year. The successful candidate will create interactive lessons and projects that demonstrate mastery for all students
Actively instruct students by creating lesson plans that build excitement for Math
Help students develop critical-thinking abilities by gaining an understanding of mathematical concepts.
Be instrumental in contributing to the growth of the Math curriculum.
Adaptive and willing to adjust to differing student needs.
Maintain assignments and grades for students
Be available for student extra-help
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with students, parents, colleagues, staff, and administration
Sustain an online grade book for students and parents (weekly)
Attend all Math Department and Divisional meetings
Participate and seek out professional development activities to increase knowledge of subject area
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics required (Master’s degree preferred)
Three-five years of Math teaching experience at the middle school/high school levels
Independent School experience preferred, but not required
