Allendale Columbia School is a diverse, co-educational, independent school serving over 385 students in grades nursery through 12. The ideal candidate has experience offering individualized instruction to meet student needs. This appointment will begin in September for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Teaching Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics) at the Upper School level, special consideration will be given to those who can teach AP Chemistry & Physics, mathematics, and applied mechanics (1.0 position)
Working in collaboration with the Head of Upper School and with AC Center Leaders to ensure curriculum alignment and appropriate implementation of student-centered learning
Working in collaboration with the Director of the AC Invent Center for STEM and Innovation and colleagues to help plan and implement the school’s strategic plan for Allendale Columbia School
Have a minimum of two years teaching experience working with Upper School students
Be able to demonstrate project-based and/or problem-based learning in which your students are currently engaged
Be a team player willing to try innovative and creative ways to infuse authentic learning experiences into the AC Invent Center for STEM and Innovation
Have experience and/or expertise in other areas of working with other disciplines and community partners to create and deliver a compelling educational experience for students
