Lake Tahoe Preparatory School is seeking a talented individual who is trained to teach visual arts, including drawing, painting, digital photography, and ceramics. The Visual Arts Teacher will teach five classes each semester, and host visiting professional artists. Candidates should have demonstrated success teaching to a range of learners and at least two years’ prior teaching experience.
All teachers are responsible for implementing the current curriculum, which is in line with the California state standards. Successful candidates will have experience with the thoughtful integration of technology in the classroom. They are also responsible for communicating with Tahoe Prep administration, chaperoning daily afternoon activities, serving as a student advisor, leading a club, proctoring one study hall a week, and working one weekend per month. Boarding school experience is a plus. Tahoe Prep seeks positive, enthusiastic, and versatile individuals who wish to become an active part of our learning community.
