The Academy of the Sacred Heart, an independent, private, Catholic school in Saint Charles, MO, invites applications for a Middle School Language Arts teacher (grades 5-6) for the 2020-2021 school year. Ideal candidates should have an excellent background and experience in teaching in language arts at the middle and/or high school level. Help students transfer their skills and knowledge so that they can make meaningful connections within and across units of study
Create a collaborative and supportive environment among the students emphasizing team tasks that require cooperation, creative thinking, problem solving, and presentation skills
Offer a wide variety of rich, authentic, and relevant tasks that encourage students to develop their critical thinking skills

Founded in 1818 by St. Rose Philippine Duchesne, the historic Academy of the Sacred Heart in St.
Charles, Missouri is the oldest Sacred Heart School in America. The Academy sits on an attractive ten acre
