Teacher for French as Second Language for German and American middle and high school students at Tuscaloosa Academy, ranging from grade 6 - 12.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: ? Teaches French aligned with the most current curriculum utilized in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Curriculum provided and ongoing training provided on the job through workshops and school visits, when available. ? Compiles and teaches the French AP curriculum to native German speakers and prepares students for the Spring examination ? Teach Upper School level courses to American students
About the German School Program at Tuscaloosa Academy Tuscaloosa Academy partners with Mercedes International and its suppliers located in West Alabama to provide continued education to student-age native German speakers. German students come to Tuscaloosa Academy for 2 - 5 years and must maintain the level of French education they would be receiving in their home schools. Class sizes vary from 2 - 8 students who learn French as a second language based on the French curriculum followed in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The first year of academic French instruction begins for the German students in grade 6.
Candidates should: Essential requirements: - excellent command of the French language - qualification to teach AP French - teaching skills, ideally trained/ certified teacher - teaching experience
