The Phelps School seeks an instructor to join its EAL (English as an Additional Language) Program faculty for the 2020-21 school year. Duties begin in mid-August and continue through the end of May. Candidates should have training and experience in developing international students’ language skills essential for learning in all academic subject areas.

Some reside on campus and serve as dorm parents (supervisors). Others, “day faculty,” reside off campus and do not have weeknight supervision duties. All are dynamic educators who enjoy working with young men in small classes, engaging collaboratively in curriculum design and professional improvement, and seeking new ways to enhance students’ creativity and critical thinking skills.
The EAL Instructor may have the opportunity to serve on the residential life staff, with campus housing, utilities, and meals (while school is in session) provided. Salary is determined accordingly.
