BB&N is seeking a part-time Upper School Film and Video Teacher to teach two sections of Grade 9 film and video. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a studio and attending meetings when necessary. The instructor will engage in the creative and institutional life of the Upper School.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience teaching high school art and running an equipment room and editing lab, as well as an understanding of the unique developmental stages of high school students. A Bachelor’s degree is required, and a Master’s degree is preferred. The ideal candidate is expected to have strong experience in film and video including film lighting and audio production, and able to present a strong portfolio of personal and student work. Experience handling all facets of studio and gear maintenance is necessary.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with the following programs:
Final Cut Pro
Basic photography knowledge
Web applications including Vimeo &; Youtube
In addition, the candidate will demonstrate the following:
