Part-Time Middle School Mathematics Teacher
Fanny Edel Falk Laboratory School, a coeducational K-8 school located on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, seeks a part-time (50%), experienced, dynamic teacher of mathematics, for the next academic year, beginning August 2020.

Candidates should have successful teaching experience in middle or high school mathematics classrooms. The educator filling this role will be responsible for delivering a program that features progressive ideas about mathematics instruction. The position involves working in close collaboration with colleagues to develop and reflect on the K-8 mathematics program. The successful candidate will have a strong vision for dynamic approaches to mathematics education, strong collaborative skills, and a willingness to support educational research. Strong skills in oral and written communication will be required to frame and present the complex world of mathematics pedagogy to a variety of audiences.
A Master's Degree is preferred, but three years or more of middle or high school teaching experience or equivalent coursework will be considered in lieu of an advanced degree for this position. Broad experience is advantageous, as collaboration across disciplines and grade levels is valued at our school. Highly creative work experience in the field of mathematics is an asset.
