Kentucky Country Day School (KCD) in Louisville, Kentucky, has an opening for a 5th grade math teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. 5th Grade is the entry point for KCD’s middle school. 

The ideal candidate has a passion for and experience in teaching middle school students. Preferred teaching experiences include emphasizing critical thinking skills in math; assessing student learning through a variety of methods, including project-based learning; and developing interdisciplinary projects that integrate math into other academic subjects. 

 

 

A degree in mathematics is preferred, as is a minimum of three years of teaching experience. Cover letter, resume, and statement of educational philosophy should be sent to KCD’s Interim Director of Middle School Ann Ponniah at ann.ponniah@kcd.org. Preferred application deadline is Monday, June 8, 2020.
