Montgomery School, an independent, co-educational day school serving prekindergarten through grade eight in Chester Springs, PA, is seeking an educator who will instruct third grade students in the areas of language arts, mathematics (Singapore Math), social studies, character, and service learning. Candidates for this position should be energetic, ambitious, hardworking, and good at connecting with students, faculty, and the community. The teacher should be creative in the use of age-appropriate techniques and technologies, possess strong organizational skills, excel in communication with parents of students of these ages, and is consistently excited to work with children.
The position has many functions. These include but are not limited to:
Possesses solid teaching skills, including knowledge/experience in the following areas: multiple forms of assessment, student differentiation, and backward curriculum design
Integrates technology into the curriculum (SMART Board, etc.)
Maintains contact with students and parents (both individually and as a classroom group) through teacher conferences, phone calls, email, and regular updates to the Class Powerschool site, as well as conference and semester reports
Establishes an effective classroom management system and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible
Prepares students for later grades by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks
Other duties as assigned

Skilled with technology and comfort with delivering remote instruction
Classroom teaching experience (minimum of 2 complete school years - August to June)
