Dawson, a K-12 independent school of 530 students located east of Boulder on a beautiful 107-acre campus, seeks exceptional Middle School Summer Program teachers in math and literacy for July 2020. Previous classroom experience and a bachelor’s degree is required. Dawson is a growing and passionate educational community dedicated to the healthy development and education of all of its students. This position is M-F, 20 hours per week (half days in the morning). The weekly rate is $800.
Demonstrated classroom management skills
Comfortable with in-person classes with up to 10 students
Experience with the Responsive Classroom framework is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
An attitude that exemplifies teamwork and personal responsibility
Ability to include technology elements into all aspects of instruction
Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters
Demonstrate enthusiasm for work with all school constituencies
Model school virtues of respect, compassion, courage, and integrity

Create weekly, differentiated curriculum focused on math or literacy
