Brookwood seeks a Grade 3 Teacher to join the Lower School Team (Early Childhood to Grade 4). The successful candidate will have a strong background in elementary literacy and math development and instruction. Candidates should be committed to establishing a positive classroom community that includes both students and their families. They must be ready to embrace a collaborative partnership with our teaching team. An eye towards best practices and current research is vital to this role, especially within the context of distance learning and technology. As we venture into a school year that will likely include a rapidly changing school model, the ability to respond with nimble adaptability is essential.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Master’s degree in Elementary Education
At least 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of research-based curriculum, preferably including TERC Investigations Math; Lucy Calkins Units of Study for Teaching Writing, Reading, and Phonics; Responsive Classroom; and RULER.
