Honorary Head of School, effective on July 1, 2020 at the International Campus of Jingcheng No 1. Secondary School, Chengdu China.
Provide leadership support for instructional and operational programs.
In the 2020-2021 school year, spend at least 2 weeks in Chengdu during Spring 2021.
Work the equivalent of one day (8 hours) per week while in the US.
Support marketing and PR events of the school in both USA and China.
Provide guidance to earn accreditation from an educational accreditation association such as Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Possess at least 20 years of school management experiences with 10+ year experiences as a head of school in a prestigious boarding or day school in the USA.
Be well connected to American education leaders and resources in high schools and colleges/universities.

About International Campus of Jingcheng No 1. Secondary School, Chengdu, China
The School is located in an upscale residential community, adjacent to a forest park and riverside waterfront,
with beautiful surroundings and convenient transportation. Jingcheng #1 Secondary School is widely respected in the city of Chengdu y and is considered one of the top private schools in Chengdu. The international school campus is scheduled to open in 2020-21.
In September 2020, there will be two grades at the international campus: the 9th grade with 50-60 students and 10th grade with 50-60 students. The 11th grade will begin in 2021 with 12th grade opening in 2022. Faculty teacher recruitment has been begun with 17 teachers out of 20 teachers already confirmed. Fifteen subjects will be taught, and the preparation is underway for the IBDP candidacy and College Board’s AP certificate.
There will be two principals - one Operations principal (Chinese, in place) in charge of the daily management/operations, and one Academic principal (non-Chinese, recruiting) in charge of curriculum development, teaching, and evaluations etc. The Honorary HOS may provide counsel to both principals.
