Norwood School is seeking an experienced, dynamic Pre-Kindergarten Team Teacher for the 2020-2021 academic year. Strong applicants will have demonstrated experience in early elementary instruction, a deep awareness and understanding of academic and social-emotional early child development, and experience working in a co-teaching format. Additional qualities include a philosophical commitment to child-centered instruction and strong communication skills. Hands-on, inquiry and play-based teaching experience are core to Norwood’s program. This position will report directly to the Head of the Lower School and commences on August 1, 2020.
Ideally, applicants should have at least five years of experience as a lead teacher working with four- and five-year-old children. Ability and interest in team teaching is a must. Additional qualifications include excellent communication and organizational skills, flexibility, intelligence, sense of humor, and a demonstrated love for working with young children and their families.
