Worship Arts and Choral Music Teacher Landmark Christian School, K-12, Independent Christian School located in Fairburn, GA
Landmark Christian School seeks an energetic, creative, and spiritually grounded musician with abilities to teach Worship Arts (Praise Band), beginning/intermediate Choir, and Piano and/or Guitar Lab for the 2020- 2021 school year. This is currently a part-time position; however other skill sets such as “sound tech” or other needed skill sets that can be brought to this position could propel this to a full-time position. We believe that the role of the Christian teacher is to demonstrate through philosophy and lifestyle his or her personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a consistent reflection of Godly character, a heart to meet the needs of young people, and a mastery of content and delivery of instruction. The school enrolls about 900 students and is fully committed to a culturally diverse faculty and student body.
Teach one class of Worship Arts. Responsible to teach, guide, and inspire student-lead Praise and Worship Band.
The why and how to lead worship spiritually and musically
Arrangements for Bass, Drums, Guitars, Keyboards, and vocals
Teach 2-3 sections of Choir classes in the Middle School and/or High School (Currently, there are 6 choir classes and up to 10 separate ensembles). You will work directly with the Director of Choral Activities.
Teach group Piano Lab or group Guitar Lab.
Establish and maintain open, professional and timely communications with students, parents and
Candidate must be a Christian who fervently pursues their relationship with Jesus Christ.
A Bachelor of Music or Music Education Degree (Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred).
Good sight-reading and keyboard skills; the ability to lead a rehearsal from a keyboard (preferred).
Strong vocal technique and understanding of basic vocal pedagogy for young singers.
Experienced in Worship Music, Choral Music, and ability to teach either Piano or Guitar
Good verbal and written communication skills.
A team player with desire to collaborate with fellow colleagues.
Committed to teaching from Biblical worldview
Strong organizational skills
