The Elementary School Principal is an important member of the District’s management team and reports directly to the Superintendent.

Experience with categorical programs, at-risk students and special needs students
Effective skills to guide problem-solving and decision making
Experience with multicultural student populations

Ability to supervise student and parent extra-curricular activities
Ability to work with diverse groups of teachers
Ability to work with District’s Administrative Team

Knowledge of or willingness to learn Continuous Improvement strategies
Candidates should possess exemplary personal qualities essential to this highly visible leadership position and should hold the highest expectations for the performance of self, staff, and students.
Candidates should hold a Master’s Degree and hold or qualify for a California Administrative Services Credential
Effective leadership experience at a significant level in a school district
In-depth knowledge of California frameworks and curriculum alignment for K-5 schools
Understanding of and experience with budget management
Understanding of student attendance, SARB and Truancy Court
Additional Salary Information: Degree stipends are available for Masters, Doctorate, or National Board Certified Teacher (limit 2)
