Associate teachers are regarded as teachers-in-training whose role grows as they gain experience and knowledge.
Associate Teachers work closely with Head Teachers to create a rich and stimulating learning community for our students. Duties include planning and conducting small group or whole class lessons, assessing and documenting students’ needs, monitoring the children at recess, and supporting the Head Teachers in the daily maintenance of the classroom.
Candidates must possess a passion for working with young children, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to teaching. Associate Teachers remain at Packer for up to two years. A Bachelor’s degree is required and working towards an advanced degree in education is preferred. Positions available in the Pre-school and Lower School.
