Purpose: The Episcopal School of Dallas, is seeking applicants for a position teaching Middle School Spanish for the 2019 20 school year. Successful candidates must demonstrate experience and skill in Spanish, as well as an enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring young people. The ideal candidate will possess a B.A. or higher degree in Spanish and have experience teaching Spanish to a range of ages and abilities. Additional knowledge of and experience teaching other languages is a plus.
3+ years experience as a Spanish instructor.
Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or related field; Master’s degree desirable
Experience with TPRS and Free Voluntary Reading programs based on the tenets of the Natural Approach and the theory of Comprehensible Input (preferred)
Ability and experience teaching multiple levels, preferred
Proficiency in educational technology and twenty-first century pedagogy
Experience designing and implementing a 21st Century curriculum and instruction
Commitment to participate broadly and cheerfully in the life of the school
Possess a growth mindset
Skills to effectively collaborate with teachers
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
