Candidate would work with students of various ages (2 - 5) in a classroom setting between the hours of 8:30 - 4:30. We have a variety of classes and subs can be called in for just a morning session, just an afternoon or all day. We only hire a few substitutes each year and we like to use them consistently to ensure familiar faces for our young students.
Barrow Street teachers teach in teams of 2 or 3 teachers, so 1 or 2 teachers would always be present when a substitute fills in. The ability to jump in with other teachers and students is extremely important.
Hours are flexible and are based upon our need and your availability.
This position is ideal for any of the following:

We are located in the West Village.
Candidates MUST be able to demonstrate prior experience working with young children.
