North Yarmouth Academy is seeking a Middle and Upper School Athletic Trainer / Lower School Physical Education Teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. This position will report directly to the Athletic Director. Major responsibilities for the athletic trainer portion of the position includes injury prevention, emergency care, and rehab services for student athletes and availability for Middle and Upper School student athletes and coaches for after school home events (practices and contests). This position will also teach physical education to grades K through 5 (a total of 16 periods per week) and will report to the Head of Lower and Middle Schools for matters relating to physical education.
This is a full time, benefit eligible position.

A flexible schedule, including afternoons, evenings, and some weekend work is required. The candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, maintain their Athletic Training Certification, and have experience teaching and working with student athletes. Additional education and experience in a school setting, as well as personal playing or coaching experience preferred. The successful candidate should demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills working with faculty, staff, and school families, along with a spirit of collaboration with all school constituencies.
